With the continued growth of information technology, expansion of computer applications, complexity of the systems, and the increased performance demands in aerospace, human- computer interaction has become a key factor in aerospace systems.
The papers in this proceedings represent current research in this domain. The 2002 conference, held in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. The conference was held in cooperation with ACM's Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (ACM SIGCHI).
